Families & Chronic Illness
Looking to the future
This clip shows young Indigenous people who either are or have been carers for family members with a chronic illness, discussing their plans for the future. Their resilience is evident as they speak of their goals, hopes and aspirations and about their experiences of, and recovery from, grief. This clip is part of a series in which young people talk about living in families where a family member has a chronic illness.
These Speaking from Experience clips feature nine young Indigenous people who share their experiences of living with a family member with a chronic illness. It was produced in partnership with the Chronic Illness Alliance and Aboriginal Medical Service of Western Sydney.
