Type 2 diabetes is a condition where there is too much glucose in the blood. Glucose, a form of sugar, is the main source of fuel for our bodies. In people with diabetes, blood glucose levels are higher than normal because the body does not produce enough insulin and often cannot use insulin properly.
In these 'Speaking from Experience' video clips, five adults over the age of 40 discuss the ways in which type 2 diabetes has impacted on various aspects of their life. They share the ways that they manage the condition, as well as some of the challenges they have faced. It was produced in partnership with Diabetes Victoria.
