Type 2 Diabetes (Asia)

Video is Loading...

Type 2 diabetes is a condition where there is too much glucose in the blood. Lifestyle factors are known to be important to the development of type 2 diabetes such as obesity, physically inactive and poor diet. In people with type 2 diabetes, blood glucose levels are higher than normal, either the body does not produce enough insulin, or insulin becomes ineffective (insulin resistance).

Type 2 diabetes can be controlled with proper diet and exercise. However, most type 2 diabetics also need oral medication and/or insulin to control their blood sugar levels.
