Young People & Asthma
Education & awareness
This clip shows four young people discussing the importance of the Asthma Friendly Schools Program and the value of their Asthma Action Plan. They describe the support that friends and teachers provide when managing an asthma attack and the security of knowing that the people around them, particularly teachers, are knowledgeable about asthma and can respond calmly if needed. This clip is one of a series that in which Indigenous and non-Indigenous young people talk about living with asthma.
These Speaking from Experience clips offer first-hand accounts from 6 young people who are living with asthma. They discuss the impact that it has had on their lives and the ways they manage this chronic condition. It was produced in partnership with The Asthma Foundation and Aboriginal Medical Service of Western Sydney.
