This clip shows six young people discussing their experience of living with asthma and the types of medication they use for it. Each person describes the side effects of their medication and how they manage asthma triggers. The clip explores the issues of knowing when to seek medical attention and the importance of being personally responsible for asthma management. It is one of a series in which Indigenous and non-Indigenous young people talk about living with asthma.
These Speaking from Experience clips offer first-hand accounts from 6 young people who are living with asthma. They discuss the impact that it has had on their lives and the ways they manage this chronic condition. It was produced in partnership with The Asthma Foundation and Aboriginal Medical Service of Western Sydney.
