Young People & Type 1 Diabetes
Self-management & insulin
This clip shows young people with type 1 diabetes describing the management strategies that allow them to be independent and lead active lives. They talk about how they recognise changes in their blood sugar level and what they do when changes occur. This clip is one in a series showing young Indigenous and non-Indigenous people talking about their experience of type 1 diabetes.
These Speaking from Experience clips features seven young people talking about the ways in which type 1 diabetes has affected their life. It was produced in partnership with Diabetes Australia VIC and Aboriginal Medical Service of Western Sydney.
