Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
Support
We all need support. Support can come in different forms:
Family and/or carer support - make sure that your family members are as educated as you are about your condition
Your general practice team - it is important to find a GP with whom you have a good relationship
Support groups - support groups are an excellent source of information and management skills.
Stay as socially connected as possible
To find out about a support group near you, call The Australian Lung Foundation on 1800 654 301.
This 'Speaking from Experience' video clip offers first-hand experiences from people living with COPD. They discuss the support they have received from family, friends and health professionals.
