Looking ahead

Video is Loading...

This clip shows young people with type 1 diabetes describing their future aspirations, including their career aspirations. They talk positively about managing their condition and speak optimistically about their future. Several reflect on the fact that having diabetes has positively influenced their career ambitions or the paths they currently find themselves on. This clip is one in a series showing young Indigenous and non-Indigenous people talking about their experience of type 1 diabetes.

These Speaking from Experience clips features seven young people talking about the ways in which type 1 diabetes has affected their life. It was produced in partnership with Diabetes Australia VIC and Aboriginal Medical Service of Western Sydney.
